Biogas expertise and energy self-sufficiency in Denmark.

Huge Energy Potential

Biogas can be produced by a simple method from biomass in the so-called  bioreactors or collected directly from the site. Biomasses means a wide range of organic waste, for example sludge, manure, waste waters, as well as andarable biomass.

All households generated organic ie bio-waste. Organic waste is a major source of energy, and largely untapped energy resource. Organic waste from the kitchen is all compostable waste, such as fruit, vegetables, leftovers, filter papers and plants.

Manufacturing industries such as slaughterhouses and other organic substances handlers generates significant amounts of biodegradable waste. Including agriculture  manure and communities waste waters are organic waste that can be processed and used for energy.

Electricity, Heat and Fuel

Organic waste has long been utilized by a simple composting method, but it contains methane gas energy potential we have not been able to take advantage of a large scale. For example, in Germany and in China is produced from bio highly profitable methane gas. Technically, the biogas can be used as natural gas, since they are compositionally very similar.

In simple process of biogas can be converted transport fuel, electricity or thermal energy. As fuel methane is ideal, because the the combustion final resulting exclusively in water and carbon dioxide.

Energy Security of Supply

Organic waste recycling can be properly achieve environmentally sustainable and energy-service secure society. In practice, this means of energy production, agriculture, food production, bio-waste, as well as closed-loop waste management, where all the waste generated by society is processed valuable energy.

The necessary technologies and know-how for recycling organic waste is there, but the question is, do we want to take advantage of these large energy reserves. Biowaste decomposes into biogas in any case, collecting it in a valuable energy or not. Thous, biogas energy does not increase the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. It is an environmentally friendly form of energy production.

Cow manure is an excellent raw material for biogas. One cow manure produced per day is about 10 kWh of energy, or the equivalence of energy, which includes approximately 1 liter of fuel oil.
